HHCA defeated JPII 8-7 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six with HHCA batting in the top of the 4th when the Eagles scored on a stolen base during Will Helmstetter's at bat. Then Helmstetter doubled, driving in one.
The Eagles scored four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from walks by Jackson Richardson and Teagan Mitchell, a single by Chip Hetzel, and an error on a ball put in play by Walker McClure. HHCA collected 6 hits led by Hetzel and McClure and stole 6 bases led by Richardson. Tucker Nelson came in with 2 innings of relief to secure the win.
