The HHCA Eagles Varsity Girls basketball team dominated once again in the quarterfinal game of the SCISA AA State Championship tournament in Sumter, SC with a 71-30 win over Greenwood Chrisitan Academy.
The Eagles defensive pressure was no match for their opponent as they jumped out to a 28-4 first-quarter lead before extending it to 48-10 by halftime.
HHCA had six 3-pointers in the first half led by Skylar Smith, who sunk three. Abby Peduzzi and Tamya Hutchinson each earned 18 points, followed by Skylar Smith's 14 points. Devon Yarde had nine.
HHCA (24-2) plays Palmetto Christian on Thursday at 3:30 PM at the Sumter County Civic Center in the semi-final game. The championship game will be Saturday.
